I have a Bachelor of Communications in Journalism. During my undergraduate degree, I published numerous articles in the local student newspaper, The Calgary Journal. During my print media classes, I discovered my passion for print layouts, often writing my own stories and capturing my own photos to bring them to life. I drew inspiration from early 2000s fashion magazines such as Vogue and Vanity Fair. I also produced a short documentary, The Colour of Our Skin, which had multiple screenings. This project was especially important to me, as I am passionate about working on projects that highlight social issues affecting minority groups.

I am a UX and Brand Designer with a background in Visual Journalism. I’ve always loved telling stories visually, especially through my photojournalism and print media classes. Creating layouts and infographics during my undergraduate studies sparked my interest in UX Design. Figuring out where to place elements and making products intuitive for users feels like solving a puzzle to me.

Who Am I ?

I have always been drawn to projects that involve fashion or beauty. Ever since I was young, I would constantly read these magazines and be captivated by the photos, themes of the season, and the content. Now, I apply those same principles to my UX/UI skills, such as engaging with audiences, finding the right tone and voice, and showing engaging visuals.
My goal is to work remotely while I travel the world. I feel like every time I travel my design knowledge expands as I get to experience design in other cultures. I notice the colour palettes and imagery are always different and unique. I believe that if I get the opportunity to practice international design I can design materials that can be used globally.
